Drinking beautifully now with berry, spice notes and a touch of leather. Entirely from Bien Nacido fruit, this bottling commemorates the winery space ABC shared with Qupe. Scored 96 Points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
After 2 decades we have returned to Oregon. This young Pinot is complete, supple, delicious now, but will age for years to come. It is loaded with aromas of ripe berries, both blackberries and strawberries. The underlying power and complexity are “under the surface” currently, but will be apparent soon. The 25% of stem inclusion gives the wine a nice spice note, not seen in Oregon Pinots.
Great line up! A Pinot for every palate - all first rate. One bottle Pinot Noir each: 2016 ABC Knox Alexander, 2016 ABC Runway Vineyard, 2015 ABC Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, 2016 ABC Los Alamos Vineyard, 2016 ABC "La Bauge Au-dessus", 2018 ABC Oregon. Wine Club Discounts apply.
The ABC Pinot Santa Maria Valley is specifically crafted for our market in England, and you can't get it anywhere except the winery (and online)! This Pinot represents some of the best vineyards in that appellation. It is classically Santa Maria meaning a wine of great aromatics, structure, and depth.
Rich and powerful, this well structured wine has a darker ruby hue as well as a beautiful nose of cherry, dried cranberry, earthy forest floor, ground herbs, smoked earth. Named after Jim Clendenen's son. Score 96 points Antonio Galloni's Vinous; 92+ points, Jeb Dunnuck; 91 points Robert Parker.
A great follow-up to our beautiful 2016. Sweet dark cherry, plum, rose petal, mint and blood orange all run through this racy, captivating Pinot. Full and rich, its forward fruit makes it enjoyable now but it will age for years to come. Scored 93 points/BEST BUY from Wine & Spirits Magazine; Score 92+ Jeb Dunnuck.
Great value! Miles above other Pinots in the same price category, this wine is a particularly wonderful vintage. It is deeply colored with aromas and flavors of strawberries and raspberries joined by anise and clove in mouth filling intensity.
This single vineyard Pinot delivers depth. The 2017 is a rich, meaty red with a dense fruit character showing earthy, berry aromas joined by mouth-filling flavors of plum and bitter chocolate on the palate. Aged 18 months in french oak barrels, one third new. Scored 91 points & "Best Buy" from Wine & Spirits Mag.
This is a rich, deep Pinot of substance. Cola and boysenberry aromas are evident and joined by mouth-filling flavors of plum and bitter chocolate on the palate. Match with oak grilled chops.
The 2016 is richer than previous versions showing dried cranberry/berry fruit with earth and tobacco notes. The body is medium weight yet carries immense waves of flavors, including sarsaparilla, pomegranate and smoke. A well integrated wine that is superb now. For true burgundian fans. Scored 90 points Antonio Galloni's Vinous.
