From one of the great Pinot vineyards of the world. The wine has a nose of perfumed red and black cherries, star anise and earth, feeling a touch youthfully reticent. The palate is silky and expansive with nuanced, spice-laced berry flavor layers energized by lip-smacking acidity, and it finishes very long and nuanced. Scored 95+ points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate; 92 points Wine Enthusiast.
After 2 decades we have returned to Oregon. This young Pinot is complete, supple, delicious now, but will age for years to come. It is loaded with aromas of ripe berries, both blackberries and strawberries. The underlying power and complexity are “under the surface” currently, but will be apparent soon. The 25% of stem inclusion gives the wine a nice spice note, not seen in Oregon Pinots.
The ABC Pinot Santa Maria Valley is specifically crafted for our market in England, and you can't get it anywhere except the winery (and online)! This Pinot represents some of the best vineyards in that appellation. It is classically Santa Maria meaning a wine of great aromatics, structure, and depth.
Just released, Isabelle is a knockout every vintage. Why? It is comprised of only the best cuvees from 6 different vineyards. Consequently, it is consistently our top performing Pinot Noir year to year. Dried cherry, raspberry tart, spicy oak, and hints of earth and forest floor all emerge from the glass. Along with the deep berry/cranberry fruit character, this lovely wine shows the whole spice cabinet in aromas and flavors - Chinese five spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom, followed with a balanced vanillin note from new French Oak barrels.
This special vineyard provides amazing fruit, richness and depth! Deeply colored with aromas of cherry, underbrush, spice and dried rose petal carry through to a full palate and lingering finish. A great follow-up to our beautiful 2016. Sweet dark cherry, plum, rose petal, mint and blood orange all run through this racy, captivating Pinot. Full and rich, its forward fruit makes it enjoyable now but it will age for years to come. Scored 92+ Jeb Dunnuck.
Great value! Miles above other Pinots in the same price category, this wine is a particularly wonderful vintage. It is deeply colored with aromas and flavors of strawberries and raspberries joined by anise and clove in mouth filling intensity.
This single vineyard Pinot delivers depth. The 2017 is a rich, meaty red with a dense fruit character showing earthy, berry aromas joined by mouth-filling flavors of plum and bitter chocolate on the palate. Aged 18 months in french oak barrels, one third new. Scored 91 points & "Best Buy" from Wine & Spirits Mag.
