Great value! Miles above other Pinots in the same price category, this wine is a particularly wonderful vintage. It is deeply colored with aromas and flavors of strawberries and raspberries joined by anise and clove in mouth filling intensity.
After 2 decades we have returned to Oregon. This young Pinot is complete, supple, delicious now, but will age for years to come. It is loaded with aromas of ripe berries, both blackberries and strawberries. The underlying power and complexity are “under the surface” currently, but will be apparent soon. The 25% of stem inclusion gives the wine a nice spice note, not seen in Oregon Pinots. Scored 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate; 90 points Wine & Spirits Magazine
NEW - Our First! The wine has a beautiful deep garnet color and shows aromas of spice and earth that transition nicely to berries of all sorts. 18 months barrel age in Francois Freres oak, 33% new, increases the wine's depth, texture, and interest. Our first vineyard designated Pinot from this location.
The 2017 is one of our best vintages. Rich and powerful, this well structured wine has a darker ruby hue as well as a beautiful nose of cherry, dried cranberry, earthy forest floor, ground herbs, smoked earth. Named after Jim Clendenen's son.

Just released, Isabelle is a knockout every vintage. Why? It is comprised of only the best cuvees from 6 different vineyards. Consequently, it is consistently our top performing Pinot Noir year to year. Dried cherry, raspberry tart, spicy oak, and hints of earth and forest floor all emerge from the glass. Scored 96 points from Wine Enthusiast; 92 points from Wine & Spirits Magazine.
A wine worthy of celebrating Jim's 40th harvest! It is velvety textured, spicy, dark ruby colored Pinot and a product of 100% whole cluster fermentation with extensive fine barrel aging in heavily toasted, 100% new Francois Freres wood. Very “Old World” with soft tannins from stem inclusion.
Every once in a while nature provides the substance for a truly remarkable wine. "Larmes de Grappe," or "Tears of the Whole Cluster," is one such wine. Amazing, Unbelievable, Mind-boggling - We haven’t made the wine since 2005. Jim only makes it on select vintages when we can produce a high-quality, 100% whole cluster, pinot bottling. Aged 2 years new french oak. Incredibly rich. Scored 95+ points Antonio Galloni's Vinous; 90 points Robert Parker.
A wine that will blow the socks off everyone! Every once in a while nature provides the substance for a truly remarkable wine. "Larmes de Grappe," or "Tears of the Whole Cluster," is one such wine. Amazing, Unbelievable, Mind-boggling and even “the best ever” were a few of the descriptions of the 2005 Pinot Noir harvest in Santa Barbara County. It produced this once-in-a-blue moon, extremely dense, rich, luscious berry and dark chocolate Pinot.
